The University Commerce College with glorious history and academic excellence is one of the most prestigious College in Commerce and Management Education. It was established on the      13th December 1956. The University Grant Commission has recognized the College as “College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)” in the Year 2011. Apart from traditional courses like B.Com. Pass Course and B.Com. Honours, the college has gained prominence by running professional courses like BBA & BCA. At present, there are about 5031 students in the College including students of BBA and BCA Courses. The College has three computer labs as well as a smart class room and a language lab. The College has a rich library with approximately 1.76 lakhs books, prestigious Journals and magazines. The College has two big Play Grounds. The opening of Bhartiya Chintan Anusandhan Centre In December 2015 is one of the great achievement of the college. This centre has about 1700 books on Life and Thoughts of Indian Thinkers as well as Indian Scriptures, Videos on life contribution, speeches of eminent Indian Thinkers are also available in the centre. A unique feature of the college is its Career Counseling and Placement Cell which helps students in getting suitable employment in various national and international companies.

The college is continuously upgrading its infrastructure in achieving excellence in commerce education in Rajasthan. The college has developed a Smart Class Room, Language Lab and research facility for teachers also with the help of the UGC and the University. These advanced learning centers are fully equipped with all teaching aids of advanced level such as interactive board, visualizers, multimedia projectors and LED presentation systems. These facilities are also helpful for the students of SC, ST, OBC minorities and other  privileged sections of the society. The college has also installed an advanced security system through CCTV cameras with continuous power supply and backup system. A new SFS Block is also under construction.

The College has organized the All-India Commerce Conference twice, in 1977 and 1995. It has also successfully organized various National & International Seminars and Conferences such as “Changing Perspectives in Management Education” (2004), “Globalization and Changing Business Environment in India”(2004), “Globalization: Myth or Reality?” (2005), “Emerging Issues in Commerce and Management” (2006), “Corporate Governance and Ethical Issues in Changing Economic Scenario” (2009), “Professional Orientation of Business Education” (2010),  International Seminar on “Rural Marketing”(2010), National Seminar on “MNREGA: Opportunities and Challenges” (2011) and National Seminar on “Emerging Issues in Tourism: Opportunities and Challenges”( 2015). The college organized a National Seminar on “GST Issues and Challenges in India” in the month of January, 2018.     In the month of December, 2016 Diamond Jubilee Celebration was organized in which different students activities like quiz contest, power point presentation and lectures were held. Foundation Day was also celebrated on 13th December, 2021. In addition, the college organizes many seminars and special lectures on regular basis to enrich the knowledge of the students. 

A large number of our students have qualified in professional examinations like CA, CS, ICWA, MBA and MCA courses. Recently, some students have been selected and placed in reputed organizations. The College has highly qualified and experienced faculty for providing quality education in Commerce, Management and Computer Science. 

The College has earned numerous accolades in Games, Sports, NSS, NCC and Scouting. University Commerce College has 5 units of NSS which are consistently engaged in Educational, Social Awareness and Health Care Programmes. One day training/camp was organized in Jhalana slum area to educate resident about health and hygiene. NSS volunteers made a successful effort to create awareness for traffic rules and for diseases like AIDS, DENGU, SWINE FLUE, Corona etc.  College organised the Rajasthan University Football Inter-college tournament in the month of December, 2021. Some of the college students won the medals in Gymnasium, Football, Archery, Swimming, Table- Tennis, Badminton and wrestling and represented at All India Inter-University Tournaments. It is a dream of any NCC Cadet to march in the Parade at Rajpath, three NCC Cadets of our college participated in highly esteemed Republic Day Parade on 26th January, 2022 at Rajpath, New Delhi. NCC Parade contingent was led by Mr. Shailendra Singh and two NCC Cadets Mr. Yuvraj Sain and Mantavya Sharma were also awarded with the DG NCC Commendation Card for their Commendable contribution in NCC.
